Join the Jewish Community as We Celebrate the Anniversary of Emancipation
Please join us at the MLK Jr. Parade/March on Thursday, June 19th at Chilhowee Park to “celebrate freedom, heritage, and community.” The TBE Social Justice Committee is joining with the KJA, which has led the Jewish community participation in this event for years. KJA will be providing the banner (“Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself”) we will march behind. So, please join your friends from Knoxville’s leading Jewish organizations and the community at large in support of this great tradition.
(The parade “step off” is at 10:00 a.m. At the end of the march, Walter Hardy Park will be filled with live entertainment and food and retail vendors.)
